What are some resources in the community that could help you in the future if you were thinking about reporting an issue?

  1. Depends what kind of issue. Employment discrimination? Try the EEOC. Environmental? Ask the EPA. Civil rights? ACLU.  

    As to what's available in your community, do a search on the national's website to see if they have a local office. Governmental offices are more likely to be situated in major metropolitan areas, but the surrounding communities would still be within their jurisdiction.

    Getting a good newspaper or tv reporter to listen to your story can be very helpful, too. If there's something that needs to be investigated, they're pretty good at that. Unless the bad guy is one of their advertisers.

  2. Also, go to the blue pages in your phone book - those are the government agencies that might be of service....we need a little more information about the "issue" that's being reported.
