  1. La Iguana

Restaurant and Bar La Iguana located in Montreal's Le Plateau district, offers everything Mexican from simply delicious fajitas with vegetarian, chicken, beef, pork or shrimp fillings, to exotic and complex dishes like tequila shrimp, cochinita pibil or Mole. Also on the menu: Pizza Mexicanna, Enchiladas, Burritos, Tabasco chicken, Baby back ribs, etc... La Iguana also offers Mexican beer, refreshing lime, mango or strawberry margarita or daiquiri, all prepared with fresh fruits. La Pegase

    MONTREAL, Québec

    H2H 1G6

Restaurant Le Pégase on Gilford Street is a unique French eatery specializing in a wide range of gourmet French delicacies. Le Pégase boasts a trendy and upscale interior decor. Some specialties include: rack of lamb, caribou and tuna tartar. Le Pégase offers a calm ambiance during the week and animated on weekends. Don't forget to bring your own wine! Completely non-smoking restaurant.

    Luce

    8693, rue Saint-Denis corner Crémazie

    MONTREAL, Québec

    H2P 2H4

Restaurant Bar Luce located on the popular St-Denis street serves fine Italian cuisine. This elegant Resto Lounge Bar is the perfect place to enjoy your evening with a group of friends, with your family, and especially with your date. This is not a traditional Italian restaurant ! The atmosphere is cozy and trendy, the decoration is rustic with a little touch of blue, the lights are perfectly dimmed along with a Lounge type music in the background which gives this place a unique look and ambiance that you will never forget. The restaurant’s bar is a must see, having a drink at Luce’s is like taking a trip in a blue world of water bubbles where you will most probably disconnect from planet earth for a few minutes. The cuisine is so tasty and very creative. The Grand Marnier Shrimps À la crème, the fish prepared with the perfect spices, some wines are directly imported from Italy. And to add something extra to your visual entertainment! Order the calamari’s: they are served in a giant martini glass! The kitchen usually stops serving around 12:00am, but the party continues around Luce’s unique bar until 3:00am

  2. I just discovered the best Chinese restaurant, Niu Kee, at 1163 Clark. It's quite small, but the food is absolutely amazing, and you get huge portions for about $7-10... my friends and I like to order a few dishes and share them amongst ourselves.

I also think Frites Alors is great, it's really cheap and has THE best fries I've ever had. There are a few of them around the city.

  3. Just "some restaurants"--LOL.

Celine Dion's restaurant "Nickels", smoked meat--Ste Catherine Street near McGill I think.

More famous smoked meat: Bens, de Maisonneuve and, I'm thinking, Mansfield.

Best smoked meat: Schwartzes, St-Laurent and Rachel or so.

    Greek 24/7: Kojaks Souvlaki

Better Greek, with atmosphere: Milos, Parc and Fairmont or so.

Possibly better Greek, but no way I could afford it: Mythos, across the street from Milos. (All restaurants in Montreal must post their menus outside, so check if you can afford it. Mythos has very noticeable valet-parkers though--you can't always park on Parc, ironically enough.)

Zen, Sherbrooke and Peel or so.

Bar-B-Barn, spareribs and chicken (don't bother with the chicken), Guy and Rene-Levesque.

What, you like chicken? Cote-St-Luc Barbecue. I don't know where it is, I don't think it's in Cote-St-Luc. They deliver anyway.

Frites Alors! Fries, and I think some other stuff. On Parc, near Fairmont too I think.

Don't know what you want? Go to the Faubourg Ste-Catherine (corner Guy), best food fair you'll come across.
