  1. it really depends on what social groups of muslims you are meeting, or at which culture ..

meeting muslims in Oman is very different from meeting some muslims in Lebanon for example. Meeting a conservative muslims is so different than meeting a non-pracitcing muslim, who might have any limits more than any european person.

but let's say if you meet a moderate muslims family, in a moderate country and culture, like egypt or jordan, then most likely:

    - don't wear explicit clothes .. like mini skirts, sleeveless, bikinis, tight shorts ..

    - don't kiss the man from his cheek or hug him, especially if he is with his wife. unless you are in a very outgoing group, these are considered gestures of love or flirt

    - don't order wine or beer when you go with them to restaurants .. or if you want, just ask them if it is okay.

    - dont joke about God. in the western movies or among different cultures, i noticed that people joke a lot about God or say things like (this singer is God). for us, God is above all of us, and should be mentioned only with respect.

other than that, i don't think there are any special etiquette ..

again it all depends on the culture of the people you are meeting

  2. Try to read the translation of Surat al Nur in the Holy Qur'an .It summarizes the Muslim Etiquette.

  3. That's sort of hard because there are all kinds of muslims.. some are very religious, some not religious at all. I'm muslim too and I consider myself moderately religious.
