  1. Flying is much safer than traveling by car.  There are literally tens of thousands of car accidents for every aviation accident.

As government is responsible for testing and certifying pilots, mechanics, controllers, dispatchers, aircraft manufacturers and aviation operators of all types, the key to aviation safety is competent and progressive government.

The aviation infrastructure is one of the best illustrations of why conservative policies in government do not work, and do place the average citizen in greater danger on a daily basis.

Study your civics and government courses with this in mind, and vote for candidates whose policies favor the average American.

  2. the main ones are equiptment failures. if something fails and you dont wanna leave the plane you have to get it down to safety or the facts that youve gotta dodge birds .... you really have to watch out , specially at night

an aeroplane isnt as safe but much more enjoyable

  3. Ice is a big one bigger issue on light aircraft, wind shear, thunderstorms, equiptment failier, pilot error. Flying is very safe, for every accident there becomes a rule, action, or procedure, in place to make sure it doesn't happen again.

  4. Airlines that cut corners on safety to save time or money, like South West and Alaska. For those reasons I no longer fly at all as airlines are under pressure to make money and corners are cut and they get away with it for a while until they are caught by the FAA or they kill a plane load of people.

  5. Hitting the ground
