  1. It's also "slash and burn" agriculture. It requires a fair amount of room as you need to move on a regular basis. Normally it's found in the tropics where the soil quickly loses it's nutrients.


  2. still a sizeable number are such eg the aborigines in australia, some mongolians, tribes in borneo, PNG, the amazons, those in congo riverine, parts of chad, mali, even the eskimos move but for a different purpose.  

    all these have been changing since colonial times where these cultivators are being made to settle in one area for better management and control
