What are some signs that a person is lying?

I mean by body language. What are some signs that you can tell if a person is lying right to your face?

One thing that the cops told me is if you look at their eyes. If they go upwards, usually to the left, their thinking of some excuse to say (lying), but if their looking down, usually to the left, their just trying to think of what really happened (telling the truth). And I think in the overall presentation of them selves can be a good thing too.

I know someone at my church who works for the government and interrogates criminals and puts them on lying detectors. He told my youth group that they will get sweaty, not look directly at you, or change the subject. He also tells us to watch out for tiny movements in people`s faces like a twinkle in there eye or twitching muscle in there face when asked an guilty question but thats for criminals, not shure about an everyday person....
