What are some signs that there are too many people in the world?

How do you personally realize that there may just be too many people on the earth, and as a result _______ is happening ?

The issue with natural resources is one, but there are possibly other issues that are affected by over population ?

Ironically, there is enough natural resources on this planet to supply every single person. Vegetables, fruits, water etc. Grow naturally on this planet with an unlimited resource.

Maybe if we stopped burning down so many forests and destroying natural habitat's we wouldn't have to worry about food being scarce.

when we have to start limiting a family to one child and kill any other ones that may come after or just add an extremely high tax to that baby. ahem...China...cough. also when there is no place on earth that a human has already been.

human population control is a simple equation of food, shelter, climate and oxygen.  when any of those become to low to sustain the population we will know that we are over populated.

Trees are disappearing as more and more is used for wood.

I don't know about your area but I saw new homes being framed with questionable looking wood. The Rain Forest is just about gone and with it and the other trees the ability to convert all the CO2 we generate into oxygen is gone as well. Is not global warming caused by an excess of CO2 creatd by all that gas and oil we burn?

Fish populations are down dramatically to the point we actually have dead areas in the ocean, Sharks are moving closer and getting bolder as their food source disappears.

Polar Bears are trying to swim further to the next ice floe as their habitat melts around them. Panda Bears are also effected by the shortage of Bamboo.

The planet was not meant to support 6 billion people with the limited resources we have. We're using them up at a rate greater than nature can replenish them and of course oil is finite. Toyota and Honda estimate no more than 50 years worth but closer to 20. I trust them more than I trust Exxon or Bush. Toyota obviously knows something since they had the Prius set to go and it's now flying off the lots. What were GM and Ford doing? I trust the Japanese. They have a 100 year plan and are proactive. America can't get past next Tuesday.
