  1. Most girls get their period by the time they are 16, but I'm sure there are many girls who get it later. There really isn't anything you can do to speed up the process, but based on what you just said, I'm sure you're gonna get it soon. But believe me, I've had my period for over 6 years already, when you get it, after a few months you're going to wish that you dont get your period. I  don't mean to scare you, I just dont want it to come as a surprise, but when most girls have their period, its usually not something nice. There's the paranoia that we leaked and our pants got stained, there's that really dirty feeling we get, we get moody, and the worst part is the horrendous pain that comes with a period (I didnt start getting the pain until about 1 year after getting my period). my point is, enjoy your non-period days while it lasts. But back to your question, I wouldn't worry about it. Maybe if you're 18 and you haven't gotten your period yet I would go see someone, but there are girls who get it when they are 16 or 17. And there isn't anything that I know of that you can do to make your period come faster.

  2. I'm 12 and i was searching for answers too!

I used to always have yellowish/clear discharge for a year i guess.Today i was in the restroom and i had a really big brown spot in my undies and i thought it was like noting until i just went to the restroom and i was freaked out because it was getting bigger. And i keep having mood swings. I have not had any cramps *knocks on wood* but i have been very tired. I don't think you can do anything to make it come quicker and my mom got hers when she was about my age but everyone is different so you cant really rely on your mom or sisters age to find yours. My b***s get bigger everyday so i dono.

    Hope i helped.

  3. It sounds like you're well on your way to having your first period, however no one can say exactly when a girl will get her first menstrual period, but usually girls will get it some time during puberty.

Some girls start puberty at age 9 or 10 where others may start as late as age 15 or 16. Each girl goes at her own pace. So don't think that it's a bad thing or that something is wrong if your friends start puberty a little earlier/later than you.

At the beginning of puberty, you'll notice that your b*****s are developing and you're starting to grow a little hair under your arms. Hair also will grow on your genitals (pubic hair). In some girls, the time from the beginning of puberty to getting the first menstrual period may take only 6 months, where as for other girls, it may take longer and can take up to 3 years.  Another sign is vaginal discharge fluid (sort of like mucus) that a girl might see or feel on her underwear. This discharge usually begins about 6 months to a year before a girl gets her first period.

Every girl is different, and there is a wide range of normal development during puberty.

All I can say is that you should be patient, it will happen when your body is ready.

    Good luck :)
