What are some simple ideas to make good money around my small town for a 16 year old?

Try babysitting.  But you should try to get your babysitters license first.  You might want to check with your local Red Cross regarding this.

Sorry I see you are a boy, but boys can babysit as well.

Other suggestions might be getting a paper route, working at McDonalds, tutoring a child in an area you are good at, walking dogs, and/or washing cars.  Its good of you to want to make money on your own.  Good luck

Start a lawn business. It is by far the best way to make money. My boyfriend does it charges roughly 25 a lawn and made 10,000 this summer and 6,000 last summer. It all just depends on how many lawns you want.
