  1. You sound like me.  I usually have a sandwich and chips...  once in awhile those frozen dinners are ok.  Not often though!!  Sometimes to be different I will bring cottage cheese, a few crackers, cherry tomatoes, celery and peanut butter.  Soup is easy.  Homemade is better cause the canned stuff is so full of sodium.  I always say I will get more creative with lunches, but just get sick of packing them!

  2. I like to make a salad the night before, have everything all ready to go and just grab the container out of the fridge. Then when its time to eat there is nothing to heat up (no wait at the microwave) and all you have to do is slap some dressing on it and eat. I will bring yogurt and fruit for a snack, and pretzels to eat with the salad. Simple, filling, and healthy!!

  3. If you like tabouli and pita bread. Or you can make tacos. A salad. Bagel with cream cheese and veggies. You can bring nachos. It all depends how equiped your work kitchen is.

  4. those cans of salmon that have the flavors in them

lemon herb, chili and tomato etc are good on fresh bread

  5. How about 2 minute noodles? Frozen dinners? However this would add up after a while. I think it is better to stick to sandwiches and leftovers.

  6. P

    B

    and

    J

  7. Try protein shakes...........

  8. Saladas, Kruskits, Salad, Party Pies, Sausage rolls

  9. Pasta salads(boil noodles/rinse under cold water and add any meat, veggies, and dressing you like)

Plain yogurt with preserves and granola

    veggie wraps

boil some eggs on Monday and you can bring boiled eggs one day, chef salad another, and egg salad sandwiches another.

Mix up a trail mix of cereal (I like cracklin oat bran) nuts, dried fruit, pretzels....whatever and bring a PB and J or a fresh fruit salad.

Pack some veggies and hummis if you like and instead of a sandwich-get some whole grain crackers, good cheese, and deli meat-maybe some spicy mustard.

buy tortillas and turn your leftovers into a wrap-add cheese or beans-rice.  Get creative and it can be really good!

  10. Wraps-you can put virtually anything in them and it tastes great-leftover fajita fillings, ham/turkey and cheese with veggies, tuna melt, chicken salad, roasted chicken (you know those kind from the deli dept. at your grocer),  pizza fillings,  anything you enjoy.

also, soups, chili, potato cheese, gumbo.

  11. I make a nice tuna salad with onions, celery, tomatoes, red pepper and lettuce.  I even make it the night before and it's still great the next day!  It's really good with Wasa multigrain breadcrisps, or rye bread or just potato chips.

Also, if you want something quick and fast I like Lunchables or Chef boyardee, but not really healthy.

I also boil 5-6 eggs and put in my fridge and one day I make a green salad with hard boiled egg and whatever else I want like dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, kidney beans and another day I make egg salad sandwich.  With the egg salad and tuna it's good to take the bread seperate and add the salad right at lunch time so bread isn't soggy.
