What are some simple vegetarian meals?

kk, so my friend is vegetarian. and so am i. and we both were wondering what some simple vegetarian [no meat at all, and no fish, everything else ok] meals were. and please dont tell me any that have crazy ingredients that nobody has heard of. i was just hoping for sum things with the basics, u know, carrots, beans, tomatoes, etc. and nothing with "soy/veggie/tofu meat" we have to make supper for the entire house [we live together along with my bf, her fiance, and our friend jor] and most of them dont like tofu, soy, some are ok with veggie, but most dont like it. so yea, just stuff with the basics please. and i dont wanna be like demanding or anything.....but our oven is broken....so if u could try to swerve to meals that can be made on stovetop or microwave plz =]

  1. Try bean chili - some canned tomatoes and beans, chopped bell peppers and poblano peppers, pre-mixed Chili or Taco seasoning just to kick it up a little. Add spices that you like.

    Make corn bread straight from the ingredients and serve it with the chili.

    Make breakfast items like pancakes, oatmeal and fruit, etc.

    Have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

    Make mini pizzas using english muffins, pizza sauce and cheese and veggies (you can even find soy-based cheese!).

    You can boil up pasta and have it with sauce and maybe vegetarian meatballs.

    If you go to the store you can find vegetarian meatballs made from veggie protein, they&#039;re delicious. You can also find plenty of other meat substitutes - it&#039;ll make cooking easy if you don&#039;t use the stove at all.

    Just type in whatever you would like to make vegetarian and it&#039;ll find you a recipe! There are recipes to make your own vegetarian sausage-like stand-ins, meatball stand-ins, etc.
