What are some sites that I can search for backgrounds/desktops?

I'm doing this Elizabethan England project and I have to do a powerpoint. My teacher said it would really help my grade if I got some backgrounds and pictures that go with the project. It doesn't have to be directly related to it. So if you could just give me some sites where I can get some free nice backgrounds, that would be greatly appreciated. : )
