I want to live in japan someday, but I don't care for cities, so I want to live in a small community, preferably a farming community if possible. Thanks. Oh and I don't know if its possible to tell this or not, but I would prefer a place that has at least a neutral outlook on foreigners, I would prefer avoid places that are racist to outsiders. I look somewhat japanese thanks to some native american heritage, but since I also have a few other races in me I am worried I might stand out. Thankfully I am not to tall and I have dark hair, eyes, and darker skin. Most of my features are native American so it should be mostly okay.

Thanks.

  1. only a very few places is racist and they only do it because they had so many problems with white guys that go there only to make trouble and have s*x.

totori is the smallest town in Japan.

It used to be a farming community. Still farms there.

  2. I remember watching TV documentaries a number of times featuring foreigners living alone in the countryside the way you described. So I don't think it's such a crazy idea.

There's even some in Tokyo that fit the bill, like Hinohara-village.
