I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed in two days, they are not attached to anything so they said it should be a simple procedure. they also said as long as i ice it, the pain shouldn't be that bad. I'm getting 3 teeth removed because my top right one never even developed, and it never will! soon enough everyone will be running around without any wisdom teeth at all because we wont have a use for them!

  1. I was addicted to Ice Cream and Mac and Cheese...YUM!

  2. The pain usually doesn't last more than a few hours, but just stick to foods that don't need to be chewed much. (Jello, pudding, applesauce, soup broth, etc.)

  3. Mashed taters! Ensure!

Not to be contrary, but I always found ice cream to be really painful after oral surgery like this. But hey, if it works for you, then go for it!

  4. Pudding, applesauce, yogurt, mashed potatoes, jello, pancakes, cole slaw, beans, ice cream, milk shakes

  5. Honestly you probably will be bleeding and won't want to eat the first day. Milkshakes and smoothies are goods just make sure there's no seeds. Avoid spicy food! It will burn! Cream of whatever soups are good too. Mashed potatoes aren't a good choice because they are a little starchy and can irritate. Good Luck and make sure you don't use a straw as this will promote more bleeding.

  6. Hey! I got 4 out yesterday afternoon.  Don't sweat it.  I think my bottom two were impacted and my dentist had some trouble getting one of my top ones out (it went into my cheek or something...I didn't really understand that part). I'm on 4 different types of medication, so who knows what really happened. Anywhoo..just take the drugs they give you.  So I'm looking around here, and I have mostly soft soups, creamy peanut butter, you can make your own popsicles out of juices or fruit purees, oh and try sticking a yoghurt cup in the freezer - those are good, cream of wheat, mashes avocado, banana, milkshakes, you can also puree your own fruits (nothing with seeds like raspberries...no little bits than can get stuck you know) or buy baby food if you're up to it lol.

Good luck, don't be scared, so many people go through it! : )

  7. I have only 3 too but I've only got one left to get out. It's on the top which is so much better. 2 months ago I had a bottom one removed. It's only now closing up.I feel for you..3 at once is gonna be tough. Make sure you eat like a pig before you go. I would get some nutrition drinks like ensure because eating is gonna be hard with 3 holes to protect.Jello, pudding...I don't know.I could still eat on one side. Pay close attention to what they tell you...you don't want a dry socket.Baby your mouth.Advil is a must for as long as you need it.The removal isn't painful but there is a lot of pushing and shoving in your mouth...pressure. God be with you and know that it's gonna be fine.
