What are some songs that have to do with AP world for both unit 1 [ foundations-600CE] & unit 2 [600CE- 1450]?

i am in high school taking the AP world history course and i have an assignment requiring me to make a "CD soundtrack" consisting of 4 songs for each unit.for each unit there must be 1 song representing a social theme, political theme, economic theme, and the "big picture" for the time period. HELP!! any suggestions? [ note: the songs can be recent and modern : ) ]

    Economic Theme: Proud Mary (Rolling on a River, since many early civilizations settled along rivers)

    Political Thing: See if you can find audio of Steve Martin's King Tut spoof on SNL.  

    Big Picture: The Lion Sleeps tonight - people were finding ways to conquer nature and control their environment.

    Social Theme: We Are Family - since early tribes began as family units.

    Unit Two:

    Big Picture: China Girl (David Bowie) - This was the height of the Chinese empires.

    Economic Themes: On the Road Again - to show the growth of trade routes between east and west

    Political - For What Its Worth - to give you a flavor of the early medieval period of uncertainty, plus the Chinese decision to NOt explore Europe, plus the nervousness the Mongel invasions created

    Social - Onward Christian Soldiers
