For instance, this song:

It doesn't have to be slow like that though, it can be a metal song like the beginning of this one:

Thanks.

  1. I'm not sure there is such a thing as Boy Sopranos - There are Boy Choirs and Altos.

    ( no offense !! - I may well be Wrong !! :)

Jon Anderson of Yes is an Alto ( higher than a Tenor )

Anyway - The only Genre of R&P-related music using Boy Choirs is Instumental or Electronic music.

David Bedford's "The Odyssey" makes good use of this Atmospheric technique -- I think it may also be on his "Instructions for Angels" but, I am not sure.

As far as a Single Boy Soloist ( with High voice )

The Soundtrack to "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover" have a Beautiful Vocal - But that is Soundtrack Music.

I AM Looking forward to Others' Answers, here - to find out -- It's a great affect !!

What about Jimmy Somerville ( how old was he ?? ) LOL

    EDIT --

Oh, Good Piont "ROBIN" on Klaus Nomi.!!

This Guy was New Wave Experimental and He's like listening to CABARET on ACID !!

...and as Robin said - He has an extraordinary Octavenal(word?) Range - though I believe his Higher Parts were actually "Falsetto" not "Soprano" - but that's my opinion.

    Okay - I just looked him up - for it's Wiki-Worth - they call him a "countertenor" - but either way - his Avant-Gardeness is LEGENDARY !!

Well - This did not answer your Question, Vicky*, but at least you have some resources on Klaus Nomi LOL :)

Thanks for YOUR Links, btw !!  They were Great !!

    .

  2. I didn't click any of your links...but "Under The Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers has a boy choir, and i'm pretty sure they have some sopranos. Also check out some Queen songs.

  3. If you're looking for male sopranos, try Klaus Nomi. He can sing everything from soprano to bass. You can find his CD's at used CD stores.
