  1. Whatever skills you choose to include, I suggest you ONLY put those you are proficient in doing, NOT beginner. That's because production companies do not have time or money to waste in getting you up to speed, if you are only a beginner. E.g. you say you can ride a horse, but the scene calls for a full-out gallop past the cameras set up on the ground... but you have only gone around the ring several times in riding school.

  2. things you can do welll ex. singing, dancing, acting

  3. put down the 3 leaf clover thing

    thats special

umm put down if you can make accents spoeak a diffrent language sing dance tumble

    play an instrument

    full splits

    baton twirl

but you you shoudl do some classes!participate in plays! build up your resume! get an agent! do auditions! get headshots!

    actinginfo.blogspot.com

    acting411.blogspot.com

    hannahmontanacasting.blogspot.com

and for an agent go to talentagents.blogspot.com and scroll down till you find city nearest you

read everythign you see! and click on words in blue but not double udnerlined ones and i suggest that you sign up with alan baltes go to first site and look at right column it explains everything! he wont be an agent just help you out and its a one time fee of 30 dollars and totally worth it!

  4. I say if you can imagine yourself doing it on stage or TV and it's something a lot of people can't do than put it down. The people auditioning you won't reject you for putting to much on your resume. Who knows? They may need someone to do a special scene in which the actor needs to make a three leaf clover with his tongue.

  5. Here are some ideas that usually go over well.... just examples! =]

Playing Piano, Juggling, Fencing, Splits, Guitar, Horseback Riding, Ability to do Different Accents, Classical Singing, Operatic Training, Mime, Martial Arts, Stunts, Hip Hop, Tap, Pointe Ballet, Jazz, African Dance, Rap, Acrobatics, Pantomime, Ability to Speak Foreign Languages, Fiddle, Western Dance, etc.

Word of wisdom--- Don't try to be funny or cute. Simply state the basic skills that you have that you think would put you above and beyond your average performer.

  6. Well, when they mean "special skills" they probably mean something that has to do with acting.

Maybe you can sing, or maybe you've taken a few years of a dance class. Something like that, that's performance oriented.

Anything you can do, they want to (and its best if they) know about it.

    :)

  7. Only put down things you have formal training in. If you can sight read music, have dance training, can speak a foreign language, have formally studied improv, have taken a stage combat class, or anything else along those lines, put that down.

  8. If you have any experience in acting like how many plays or musicals tv shows movies comericals u were in. if u had any speical traning for acting. depending on where u wanna go w3itch acting u may want 2 include musical experiance danceing singing playing a instrument.

  9. I think things like accents you can do and any instruments you can play or singing and dancing skills are good to put on there.

  10. here is an example

    special skills

    music-vocal(alto), piano

    dance-Ballet, Jazz, Tap

Accents- English, Russian, Australian, Valley Girl

    Stage Combat

    Puppetry

    Panto mime

    improv

    script writing

athletics- Back Handsprings, Front /hansprings, Volley Ball, Tennis, Track and Field

theres are some examples of what would be considered exceptable

  11. well i want to be an actresss also, but i have TONS of expirence (: jeje.

well to start off defintaly take lessons or something at a local theater or something.

and if you have done some thing like cheerleading or played a sport or you speek different languages that helps alot too.

p.s. something that really helped me was impersonations and accents (: hope this helps!!!

  12. With all due respect to you, and those most obviously young who might answer, a RESUME is a form of professionally presenting yourself, possibly before being interviewed, if even considered to be.

In any other plane of existence, applying for a job would be similar.

First you should probably study resume formats, and certainly the Header lines would be name, address, etc.

Then should be either education, OR experience in any trade/ craft/ profession, in any order.

What is disturbing,,,again, no offense, is your final details. Certainly not at all even a professional thought, much less something anyone might care about. IF you added such details, I think you could expect your resume to end in a land fill. GET SERIOUS!

In a COVER LETTER, without making it sound desperate, you can introduce yourself, state some desire, even certain SPECIAL skills you might have, but very bluntly, your experiences will be what are most considered.

Finally, and again, sigh,,,If I had a dollar for every dreamer, I'd be sending this from a beach in Fiji. That is not to say at all that you shouldn't pursue a dream, but make an effort to be mature about it, even if you have to fake it for an interview.

  14. First of all, do not write down things just to make the list long. A mistake that many actors make is writing down every type of accent they can do. If you can do accents, just simply write "can speak well with accents". If the casting directors are interested, they will contact you and ask for specifics. Put down any type of dance that you are particularly good at; i.e. tap, lyrical, ballet, etc. If you are specially trained in acrobatics, gymnastics, martial arts, etc. write down those also. If you do not know the show very well, research it and find things they might need. For example, if you were doing Disney's High School Musical and you just happen to have a seven year background in basketball, by all means write it down! One of the main production numbers, "Get Your Head in the Game" requires basketball skills, so you could easily be cast! Also, if you are fluent in any other languages, write them down! There are so many ways casting directors can work with you if you are multilingual.

If you know something you do well but are not sure whether or not to put it on your resumé, feel free to contact me at heyitsmehermionegranger@yahoo.com.
