  1. Ive always thought that you should take that child under your wing so to speak, teach your class and soar,

(that just sounded good)if you can see the meaning, hold on to him so he feels wanted and worthy.

  2. If he's not on medication it is going to be hard.  I know, I was diagnosed with ADD when I was much younger.  The trick is trying to find a way to relate the material to the child that will keep his interst and attention.  For instance, if his favorite television show is Blue's Clues you can have him walk around the house looking for clues regarding the material and the answers just like in the television show.  It really depends on the subject, but you get the idea.  Make the material fun and interesting for him, and relate to something on his level.  It worked for me.

  3. Have that child sit in the front of the room next to students who are quite and well behaved.  Have that child take breaks when he starts to get antsy.  Try to mix lots of teaching styles.  ASk for an aide if possible.  Keep this child interested by calling on him when you know he has a good chance to know the answer.  Say the child's name often. Keep a positive attitude.  Good luck.

  4. dont not try to seem like ur better then them or hav so much more power then them but dont b a push over just ignore there behavior dont get frustrated or get angry at then or get annoyed because that jus eggs them on and moakes them do it more because they no that there tryin to get on ur nerves and its workin so the best thing to do is stay calm but dont b so calm that the rest of the class feels they can walk all over u trust me i no all this because i am adhd and this is wat i feel and i feel alot better when im not bein felt like my teacher has all the power this may seem silly and arrogant but trust me it works and helps the child out in the future
