I'm 13 years old and i want to go vegetarian. I'm not sure about how to start off though. I don't think my mom would buy the faux meats for me because she think I may not stick to it. I want to prove it to her, but hows would i start out and get the protein and other nutrients i need with out meat? I really want to do this for the animals, environment, and to prove something to my mother, but any suggestions on how to get things going or how to talk to her about possibly doing this with me?

  1. Explain to your mother that you are trying to save animals. If your mother is a real animal lover she will understand. Tell her that there are many veggie burgers that taste just the same, and in my opinion, sometimes even better. Also tell her its a healthier way to stay thin and in shape. I tried being a vegetarian once, but I love meat too much to sacrifice it, so it didn't work so well. You may want to first just start off by not eating as much meat, instead of just going meatless. It will be a lot easier, and you shouldn't even go totally without meat because your body needs the protien. But if you do decide to, then try eating lots of nuts, since they are a great source of protien. Hope I helped ya, good luck! (=
