Question:

What are some suggestions to help keep on track with a weight loss goal?

I know that you need to exercise and eat right, but what are some ways to keep from slipping back into old habits?

Whenever I try to eat healthy, I always end up stuffing my face with junk soon after I start. I exercise one day, but the next day I don't feel like getting off the couch.

How do you motivate yourself to keep going? Whether you are at the beginning of your journey and have yet to see results, or just struggling through in general?

Thank you.

  1. Set a goal; and tell yourself you will not stop till you get there.  What weight do you want to end up.  Put up a picture of the woman you want to end up looking like.  You can do it.  You'll feel very s**y each and every day that you keep on track.  Good luck.

  2. Gaffa tape over the mouth should help

  3. Remind ur self constantly on how u looked & felt before u started exercising... The best way to keep going on the exercise regime is by asking a friend to join the same so that u have someone to pull u in when u dont feel like getting off the couch or u can do the same when they dont feel like... it helps..... trust me.... also keep ur old big clothes, photos & write down comments that  hurt u the most when u were "fat", keepin them around to remind u will help a lot....

  4. just be really active everyday! go on walks(not short) twice or three times a day! don't focus on food...diets don't help go to the gym often, go to malls hang out with your friends don't sit on the couch all day spend as much time away from your home!

  5. put a fat pic of u on the refreg and it will remind u to stay away from the bad stuff

  6. break your jaw, dont buy junk food, duct tape, be around other skinny fit people with your stomach out, anything painful that reminds you how uch you hate being overweight, no lie honestly anything that will force you to not eat and go exercise is worth it if you want it bad enough haha. But really, dont break your jaw, my friend did and way it worked out he lost like 30lbs, ha very unhealthy

  7. you must focus on what you want to achieve and set realistic weekly targets , also have a treat occasionaly ,

  8. does looking in the mirror and on tv help? when i look at movie stars and find that i have the same or in some cases better body motivates me a lot. also looking at fat people is motivating too. and u re just lazy. from the beginning many  many years ago maybe i pressured myself into exercising. now i can't stop. even if i am entirely exhausted after work and it is late i will go to gym anyway and crawl home like at 9 pm and i have to get up at 7 am. but i just can not not go and exercise - i will be ill

  9. There are a number of ways to motivate yourself and keep on the workout and diet routine. You can visit my blog and search for the motivate to burn and build article. It outlines a number ways that can help you stay on track. Please do leave comments.

  10. listen to your favorite music while walking or running..it relaxes you too.

walk with a friend or family member-it is much funner and easier(you even forget your walking, exercising).

drink lots and i mean lots of water....lotssssss

take vitamins when in a diet-multivitamin(i recomend "One a Day" energy multivitamins).

    stretch-relax muscles

do the exercise at least 3-4 days a week.(dont exagerate)

if you want to munch on bread or candy-take just one little, small piece of bread or candy...(not everyday)

have fun with exercise-change the exercise once a while

for example- sometimes walk, other times jog.

sometimes dance, and other times do jumping jacks.

sometimes do some yoga, and other times just clean your whole house(it makes you burn alot of calories), like brooming, even washing the dishes...

do all this, but have fun with it....

dont force it too strong, cause you may fail to keep it up

oh ye, keep it up!!! you can do it!!! i believe in you

  11. I recently lost 27 pounds, and I have a lot to go. What keeps me going? I have dieted before.A stumbling block for me was when I had a bad day, ate to much, I would simply just give up. Now I am a little bit more experienced and I take it day at a time. I look at it like climbing steps. I take a few steps forward up the stairs, then I might take a step or two back. I expect that to happen. No big deal. I will just make sure tomorrow I will keep on trying to go forward. Until I have reached the top.expect to have bad days, just do not have bad weeks. Keep going forward even if we did eat to much one or two days. We still have 5 other days in the week to make progress. That's how I see it. Do not let it get to you.Too keep up with the exercises, it keeps you positive.

  12. yeah i have the problem...get a family member to hit u when u do that lol thattle be a good way...other wise normally body wins over mind in this problem : (
