What are some suprises in the book "A Midsummer Night's Dream"?

The biggest surprise fo you may be that it is actually a play.  

But beyond that, having read the play, as I am sure you have, you know that the biggest surprise is when we learn that Puck is actually an advance robot sent from the future who comes back in time to kill Lysander and stop him from leading the humans in revolt.

Perhaps one of the most shocking moments of the play stems from the scene when Puck accidently sprinkles the love root over Lysander's face and he falls in love with Helena.  It is a simple mistake because Oberon had stated that the man would be wearing Athenian clothing but it creates a lot of chaos within the story.

Midsummer's Night's Dream is several love stories wrapped into one. I think the biggest surprise is Puck turning the actor into a man with a donkey head.
