What are some sure fire ways to get dismissed from jury duty?

if i got summoned only a few days before i have to leave for a vacation, can i tell the judge and have them dismiss me?

Have your employer make a letter that will make your absence at your work a problem. Let them make the excuse letter. They should be able to help you.
