  1. There are no real "symptoms". I have ADHD and I was tested for it when I was like 5 or 6. Go to your doctors office and tell you'd like to be tested to see if you have ADHD.

  2. You have a hard time paying attention and focusing on one thing

  3. Can you repeat that? I wasn't paying attention.

  4. inability to focus for long periods, hyperactivity, can't sit still....

  5. A.D.H.D. is and illness diagnosed by physciatrist. They have an illness for everything possible. No illness diagnosed by them can be  or has ever been cured. I was diagnosed with adhd when i was in 1st grade, my dad refused to put me on redalin and I was on B honor role my whole life. All your doing is feeding into a multi-billion dollar scam called the field of psyhciatry. more peole have been killed during their test's and cure's than every american war put together. here is how it works you have an illness you get a pill, the fda makes money to keep in market and doctors make make by giving it to you. think about it.

  6. u can't be calm very long and your real hyper

  7. Rich parents are a symptom.

You'll notice that most HMO doctors do not diagnose ADHD.

It's not a real disease.  It's just spirit.

  8. Six or more of the following symptoms of inattention have been present for at least 6 months to a point that is disruptive and inappropriate for developmental level:

    Inattention

Often does not give close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork, work, or other activities.

Often has trouble keeping attention on tasks or play activities.

Often does not seem to listen when spoken to directly.

Often does not follow instructions and fails to finish schoolwork, chores, or duties in the workplace (not due to oppositional behavior or failure to understand instructions).

    Often has trouble organizing activities.

Often avoids, dislikes, or doesn't want to do things that take a lot of mental effort for a long period of time (such as schoolwork or homework).

Often loses things needed for tasks and activities (e.g. toys, school assignments, pencils, books, or tools).

    Is often easily distracted.

Is often forgetful in daily activities.

Six or more of the following symptoms of hyperactivity-impulsivity have been present for at least 6 months to an extent that is disruptive and inappropriate for developmental level:

    Hyperactivity

Often fidgets with hands or feet or squirms in seat.

Often gets up from seat when remaining in seat is expected.

Often runs about or climbs when and where it is not appropriate (adolescents or adults may feel very restless).

Is often "on the go" or often acts as if "driven by a motor".

    Often talks excessively.

    Impulsivity

Often blurts out answers before questions have been finished.

Often has trouble waiting one's turn.

Often interrupts or intrudes on others (e.g., butts into conversations or games).

Some symptoms that cause impairment were present before age 7 years.

Some impairment from the symptoms is present in two or more settings (e.g. at school/work and at home).

There must be clear evidence of significant impairment in social, school, or work functioning.

The symptoms do not happen only during the course of a Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Schizophrenia, or other Psychotic Disorder. The symptoms are not better accounted for by another mental disorder (e.g. Mood Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Dissociative Disorder, or a Personality Disorder).

  9. check this out please, it is the "checklist" which can help in identifying behaviors which could indicate ADHD. But you must see a psychiatrist or neurologist, they can diagnose you properly. Doesn't mean you need to go on drugs even if you get this diagnosis, there are many things to do to help live and function with this disability. But you'll cross that bridge when you get to it. You can also speak to a school counselor if you are still in school. That's part of their job, to work with the kids and teachers to help make learning a positive experience. But it's much more involved than that. First get tested.

  10. Inattentive, can not sit still, acting out, hard time listening, changes subjects quickly, hyper

  11. Like a lot of illnesses, the symptoms of ADHD vary for each individual.

By this I mean, one person with ADHD is not necessarily going to have the same symptoms as another sufferer. It also depends on the severity of it.

My little sister has a mild form of ADHD. Unless she told you, you would probably never know there is anything wrong with her. Apart from, at times, being badly behaved, she is your average 15 year old girl. She does not need medication, the only thing she needs is a lot of discipline. On the other hand, someone with more sever ADHD may have noticeable symptoms which in order to be kept to a minimum are required to take medication.
