I love buying fresh produce, but often find myself letting it go bad before i get around to using it, unless i make a trip to the grocery store every couple days--not an attractive option. So i've been eating a lot of pasta, which gets old pretty quick. What are some good options for food that I can buy and not have to worry about eating within a week? Frozen foods are ok, as long as they don't require lots of preparation (i hate having to wait an hour to thaw chicken, etc., and hate the alternative of defrosting it in the microwave it bc it gets all weird!). Thanks!

  1. stouffers makes a good lasagna thats frozen, just pop it in the oven. they also make other good meals, check in the frozen food section. also, if your eating alone, you will have plenty of leftovers.

also, hamburger helper/chicken helper/tuna helpers are good and cheap and easy. if you remember to take meat out of the freezer the night before you use it and put it in the fridge, then it will already be defrosted when your ready to use it.

  2. If your fresh veggies are about to go bad, just make a soup out of them.  Just chop 'em all up, boil them in water, add seasonings, a boullion cube if you feel the need, and you're good to go. You can always freeze your leftover soup if you have alot.

Also, if you use cabbage, the soup comes out looking purple. Haha.

  3. Frozen Lasagna and Frozen Pizza
