  1. Lean forward a little, shorten your stride and arm motion.

This is one of the times when you are pulling yourself rather than just pushing yourself.

The knee lift is higher and you  are on the balls of your feet.

It is similar to running into the wind.

Drive hard up the hill it is an opportunity to gain on the other runners.

When at the top shake out your arms take a deep breath and increase your gains before the other runners get to the top.

  2. to run up hill you need to lean forward so you are more parallel to the ground. just try to push up the hill hard but at a comfortable pace so you don't die out after the hill. always pick up your knees, it helps you get up faster. good luck and i would suggest in practice if you give it your all up hills(not so you will die at the end of it but push up hard) then after you keep doing this hills won't be as bad and you will get up faster. good luck
