  1. Not so strangely some of the same interests and dysfunctions that "run": humans today:

Romeo and Juliet -- love, overshadowed by violence, competition, greed and  vengeance

Macbeth --jealousy, greed, powermongering, murder, guilt, retribution

A MidSummer Nights Dream  -- lust,  frivolity  -- a comedy

Hamlet -- infidelity, lust, greed, usurpation, thoughts of suicide

Julius Caesar --  greed, powermongering, jealousy, murder

Antony&Cleopatra -- lust, greed, powermongering, murder

King Lear -- family drama, sibling rivalry, general horror

You get the idea, eh?    The species needs a consciousnesss upgrade, big time  :))
