What are some things I can do to improve my short-distance running?

I'm a thirteen year old who's competing in "Field Day" at my school.

  1. practice daily


  2. well it depends how much time u have until the race if u have about a week u can put some leg weights on and try sprinting that should help and try not to drink lots of water before the race or 30 min before u can get cramped

  3. Monitor your times and always strive to improve upon them even if it is only a slight improvement.
