  1. You could try jewelery! Just pawn off some rubbish jewelery that isn't worth much and just tell them that you got it at a really high price when you didn't. That might work! You could also pawn off some random things like toys, tableware, somethings that you absolutely have no sentimental value with! Beware of pawning off stuff when there is sentimental value because when you want it back, the store would most likely sell it higher than they gave you the money.

  2. I also own a Pawn Store and would like to say that we and most other REAL Businesses like ours out there would never have some one buglerized.  The last guy was correct we take all the things listed and more.  Take a look at our website, it lists all the stuff we buy at our store.  www.gardencityexchange.com

  3. These are all high demand items for pawn shops:

Anything gold, US Coins, Laptop Computer, iPod, digital camera, Camcorder, SLR Film Camera, CB Radios, Ham Radios, Police Scanners, GPS, Cordless power tools, Nail Guns, Musical instruments, night vision scopes, DVD movies, Fishing reels, Playstation 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, Palm Pilot or PDA, High-end vacuums (Dyson or Orrick), Cell Phones, DJ Equipment, Fluke Multimeters, Portable DVD Players, Paintball Equipment, Scooters...

  4. Be careful of pawn shops. I took a course in criminology in college and we learned about pawn dealers retaining addresses from people who turn in good stuff to possibly have it burglarized. Sounds dramatic, but based on the research and statistics, I believe it. Just a warning. Oh and if you have craigslist.com in your area maybe you can try posting there too for other items. It's free and easy to use, just know people do flake out.
