What are some things I should know when planning a trip to India?

Is it an expensive place to be? How much would it cost to rent an apartment there for three months? How much do tours and things cost? What is the culture like? What kind of clothes should I pack? What part of the year is the best year to travel? I personally don't like crowds, so whenever most people go would be the worst time for me, lol. When is the weather coolest?

Personal experiences would be great! Thanks in advance.

Not really expensive. Depends on where you're coming from.

Three months.. where in India? The rent depends on the choice of your city and the area of the city. Metropolitan to small town. Posh to ordinary.

Tours can be inquired about on Travel sites and such or personally at a Travel Agency.

The culture is very rich and traditional. Ethnic, colourful and vibrant. The people are real nice and warm towards everyone.

Clothes should be light basically but with keeping the Winter in mind. It is getting colder all around. Especially in Mumbai and Delhi.

The best part of the year would be around June/July - October/November. The country looks beautiful.

The weather is coolest around this time starting from mid November. India is always a crowded country so can't say.

No its not but some part of India are expensive.. if you want to stay for 3 months its totally depend in which part of India you are going to stay it can be USD 300 for three monts of it can be 1200 USD only room but if you want to know the tour cost visit www.holidayclubindia.net. October to March is the best time to visit India as this is the time when India is cool. But you can visit India in summers also this time you will get the cheap prices of hotels and all.
