i admit, i really have a spending itch, and it's more difficult for someone like me to save money, or save money to pay off debt. i get impatient, can't wait to build up the paychecks, and end up spending little things here and there, which add up quickly. what are some things you do to mentally help yourself be more patient with this kind of thing? i've really made an effort to change this behavior, but any advices could possibly help it further. thanks!

  1. Hi Friend,

The best way to get rid of this problem is when you get salary in your account just take necessary money out from bank & just give your credit/debit card to any of your relative or any of your friend. If you dont have card u will not able to spend the money. I hope it will help you.

  4. You mentioned the biggie here, change your behavior. That is easier said than done though I realize. You need a few short successes to motivate you and give you the impression you are doing a good thing. Start by writing your goals. Make them reachable. Don't try saying you are going to save $10,000 if all you make is $20,000 a year. Start by saying you are going to save $100 by September or $50 each paycheck or whatever number fits into your budget. Speaking of budgets, write one. Put things in order of importance, living expenses, transportation, other bills, savings, spending. Your spending money should be kept in cash your savings should be kept in a savings account. Everything else should be kept in a checking account. Do not withdraw from your checking for anything other than what your budget allows. If you do keep spending in cash and all else in the bank, you will be given a physical reminder that you have no more money to spend. Sometimes it helps not to go out as much. If you stay at home you don't usually spend as much (just don't splurge on pizza delivery or pay-per-view) Good luck!
