I am a little out of shape and today i have my first soccer practice. I dont know if we will have to run a mile but i want to be prepared for it if we have to. I know we wouldnt have to do anything extreme for exersises because i am in a group with fith and sixth graders when i am a 7th grader(i missed the cut off by 2 weeks). I need some really big help getting in shape for the practice today. And if it helps me and my mom, dad, and brother(my bro. is younger than me) go down to a field and play a soccer game today! its really fun! So if you have any tips on what i should do there to get in a little bit of shape please tell me!

Oh yeah and the other reason i want to get into shape is because i need to lose alot of weight in 3 weeks!

thanks!,

Sadie=)

ps please dont make the answer SUPER DUPER long!

thanks again!

  1. Generally your supposed to warm up(light jogging, plymetrics etc.) before stretching but sense your not doing anything to heavy i would suggest:

    Before your game(during the day): drink water, eat a light snack before leaving, have proper running shoes.

    At your game(before the run): stretch(thats all i suggest since you being kind of young and its only a mile)

    After: drink water and stretch.

  2. I am a runner! First make sure you are hydrated, and are well stretched. Some tips on running that I have found useful is to relax ( don't tighten up you muscles when you run) run at your own pace even if it is slow, look up at the horizon too help with breathing, also always breathe through your mouth to help the oxygen level.  Another small tip but very important to me is too put Vaseline on your lips to help them from drying out. Good luck with your games!!!!

  3. The First thing you should always do is stretch, first you want to sit down a stretch your legs by having them out in front of you and trying to touch your toes with the tip of your fingers for 15 secs each, "trust me this works" then stand up, and do the same thing while bending down. make sure you stretch your most vital muscles, like legs, and your stomach which keeps you from getting cramps, and dont drink to much water. Stamina which keeps you from getting tired will build the more times you run. I've been doing physical activity like running for a very long time. I hope this will help.
