  1. can't own/rent/possess/touch a firearm, can't teach, can't join the military, but you can still run for public office...

  2. felons are not allowed to do a lot of jobs I do not know what all they are but working with children is one. you do the crime do the time over and over again because it gets very hard to get a job. You can do the time but you never are completly forgiven you can even be turned down for a place to live .

  3. Actually, only three states still impose a life-long denial of the right to vote to all citizens with a felony record; Florida, Kentucky, and Virginia.  The other states vary in the length of suspension, but in a lot it's seven years.  Most restore the right to jury service along with the right to vote.

A convicted felon can't be employed by the federal government, including military service.  That is, unless they're elected ... LOL!

A convicted felon isn't eligible for any government aid they haven't paid into (Social Security and unemployment); grants, loans, Section 8, food stamps, etc.

A convicted felon cannot be in "constructive possession" of a firearm.  In other words, they can't be anywhere where they have access to one.

Other restrictions vary by state.  Most have restrictions on professional licensing, with Florida being the most severe.  Most restrict employment that involves children, the elderly, and the disabled, and state and municipal government employment.  Some restrict election to public office.  Also, felony conviction is a mitigating circumstance in divorce and custody cases.

Extra glad you're not a felon after reading all these answers, huh?  Me, too.  :)

  4. cant own a firearm

  5. You cant vote.own a firearm, hang around other felons,go to bars if you are on probation, you cant work with law enforcement unless you have your rights restored ,do jury duty

  6. Can't handle a gun, even at a shooting range! That sucks!

Can't work as an In-Home Caregiver, at least not for any state run agency.

  7. Hard to find a job because they ask the question and do background check, I don't know if you can vote.

  8. Can't get financial aid, difficult to get certain occupational licenses, can't come over my house for dinner.  (Last one's a joke, lots of felons have been to my house for dinner).
