What are some things that Stewart Haas Racing can do so they don't end up like Michael Waltrip Racing or RGM?

Who knows? Honestly at this point I don't see anything that they could do differently.

Their only hope as I see it, is to depend on Tony's financial assets & driving abilities.

1) Drop the Hendrick alignment and go with Childress.

2) Secure faithful sponsors.

3) Don't use Rocket Fuel.

4) Make sure your car's nose meets NASCAR specs.

5) Choose younger, well-established drivers for your additional cars.

6) Find you a nice woman who can run the business part of the team, like Teresa Earnhardt or DeLana Harvick.

They are going to excel beyond expectations. Having Stewart and most likely Newman they will bring in big sponsors meaning big money to buy the equipment needed to win. They will have the best driver in Stewart and another great driver in Newman.

That is a hard question to answer, Tony will spend millions trying to find out.  The main thing is to focus on RACING. MWR spent so much money on their facility (Raceworld USA) and PR that they shortchanged their racing program and are now trying desperately to catch up. My advise to Tony would be to focus on the racing, everything else will follow.

I guess just like every other team needs to do to keep up with Gibbs, Hendrick, and Roush spend a lot more money. Cost control has gotten out of hand in NASCAR.

Robby Gordon, Ricky Rudd, Bill Elliott.....doesn't matter.

Stewart is an amazing driver, but this ends his career.  His best shot for Three was with Gibbs.

He abandoned a company who builds cars in the Southeast (Toyota) for one who builds their cars in Mexico (GM).  What a patriot.
