Well, I just took a physical check-up today to get cleared for tennis and I failed the eye test so badly...I can't even see the third line of the eye test for both sides. I've been having eye problems for about a year or so. I really need to wear glasses because I have trouble seeing the board at school if I'm far away from it. My scores for both my right and left side of the eye test was 20/200..I know thats like really bad. I used to have very good eye site and almost get perfect scores on every eye test...ever since I've been playing a lot of computer games sometimes even until pass midnight..I think thats what affected my eyes. =/ I stop playing computer games for at least over a half a year now..and I think my eyes are getting better..I always read books or do my homework on my bed with my eyes really close to the book..that probably affected my eyes also.

What do you think affected my eyes??

Thanks!

  1. How old are you? If you have a family history of nearsightness then it's probably starting to develop. It normally starts in school age. There's nothing you can really do about it now. Wear your glasses, and if you really want to get rid of your poor vision, try refractive surgery (at age 21 after your perscription has stabilized).

  2. Possibly strain.  And not just excessive close work, but perhaps a mental effort to see.  Do a search for "Bates method".  Also check out the eye exercises (which are not the Bates method) here: http://www.visionimprovementsite.com/eye... and here http://www.wellnesshour.net/tibet.htm .

  3. you are probably nearsighted (which means you can only see things that are close to you)
