  1. i've been dancing for about 6 years now and if you really want it i would say take as many as you can you probably want to take other classes to b/c they can really help in ballet classes and most dance places like you to have a broader range :)

  2. You have to take as many ballet and pointe classes as you can. Work as hard as you can..put everything you have into dancing. Like eat sleep breathe ballet. and maybe pick out acouple ballet schools...ABT is verrryyyy hard to get into its the best company in the united states and one of the best in the world..to get into abt you have to pretty much get into abt II which is 13 people from around the world are picked and they are trained and prepared to dance in either abt or other big professional companies. the age is 16-19.  But just practice as hardd as you can if you want it, im sure you will be come a professional ballet dancerrr, and remember there are plenty of greatt ballet companies in the united states!! and i loveee abt it has my 2 favorite dancers paloma herrera and ethan stiefel

heres the link about ABT II

  3. if you want to get into ABT you have to be really good. first, you have to be really determined and intelligent. in high end studios they expect their dancers to pick up on things really quickly so you need to work on your memory. im 12 and i can do 3 turns you you need to work on that, just get into a really intense studio and take about 5 classes of ballet a week. push yourself but at the same time know your limits, if your having any pain at all you need to tell someone or it could get worse. be prepared to give up your social life, this summer i was dancing 40 hours a week and had practically no time to spend with friends. so yahhh my best advice is to get into the best studio in your area and train really hard. its really hard to become a professional dancer, not only are there not many slots to fill but the payment is like nothing so you have to really want it

  4. ABT is freakin' intense. A girl at my school got in for the summer, and she says it's INSANE. It's pretty hard to get into, but I say if you want it, go for it!

You're a great size to dance, and being vegan is healthy. Being good at adagio is very helpful because a lot of dancers find it very challenging. The splits are helpful too. You should work on being able to do more pirouettes. ABT will probably want you to be able to do a double or even a triple while en pointe.

Ask your teacher/s to help you with foettes. You will definitely need those to get into ABT, and if not that, you will need them to survive ABT. I would say to take 5-6 classes a week.

Also, you should have a REALLY NICE PICTURE-PERFECT arabesque. I'm pretty sure that it's ABT that wants a picture of you doing your arabesque when you audition. And you would definitely want to leave a professional, skilled impression on them :]
