  1. My husband told me that you must make sure you stop completely at railroad crossings and listen for a train. He said many people fail on this. He also said many people fail to use their turn signals. Good luck.

  2. I'm assuming your referring to your CDL.   Know your pre-trip Dont forget the bleed down procedures for the air brakes, Be familiar with the rig you will need to be noticing things along the road and will not need the distraction of tring to get the feel of a different transmission.

  3. If this is for a class A CDL, the testers can be really sticky.  Can you shift smoothly. Do you go thru all the pre-trip right?  Are you checking your mirrors every 5 sec.  Do you come up to speed and flow with the traffic?  Aim High in steering.  Keep the big picture, leave yourself an out.  Always double clutch.  Stay to the right except to pass.  In backing, get out and look.  The set-up is the most important in backing.  Smooth motion and no hesitation is important.  Remember where your tandems are at all times.
