What are some things to make and sell?

me and my sister are trying to save money. so we thought of make and selling things. but i don't really know what to sell so i need some ideas.

and i need to know where i can sell them. i was kinda think i can make polymer clay things but I'm afraid no one will buy them. so please help me?

You can find stuff that is hard to get, & re sell it on craigslist. For instance, I know of a place that is like 20 minutes away, they sell "Bulk Vending MAchine" stuff, like toys & they sell little toy vending machines etc.. Anyway, One day for the h**l of it, I posted a few things that they sell In that shop I'm talking about, I just posted 1 item that they sell in there, it is a machine that sells toys, it cost $200 @ the shop. I posted it on craigslist for $250, and With in that week, I found some one to buy, So I bought it, than sold it to the guy & made $50  & maybe invested like 40 minutes of my time. Since than I have done it like 10 times & made like a lot of money. Also, i bought a few vending machines, I put them in restaurants & stuff, and I split the profit w/ the owner & keep whats left. Its cool, I don't have to be there in order for the money to be generated. I just go collect once every two weeks or month.

make plushies out of felt ^_^ and make them cute...or make totes out of fabric from wal-mart and stuff. You can sell them on etsy.com (there you sell stuff online...and it's especially made for homemade stuff!~) but on etsy..you have to pay 20 cents for every item you sell...I know it doesn't sound like much but it can pile up~ so i suggest selling on livejournal.com, it isn't necessary to sell stuff, but a lot of people have shops there and you dont have to pay for posting them up haha ^-^

Buy books even use books and re-sell them not only on eBay -which can be quite expensive wheny ou think about it but also on sites like http://www.amazon.com and http://www.sellit-right.com which accept advertsing or products too.

You can make art work, be creative and sell potery if you like. Oh by the way electronis stuff sells the most.

Depends on how creative you are and what type of hobbies you like to do and where you plan to sell. There is eBay, Amazon, Craig's List.

I came up with teddy bear dolls when I was in bad need of money one year. I dressed them in lace trimmed cloth and set them in a wicker chair. Hot glued some flowers around them and they sold pretty well.

I have heard of kids raising worms for fishing bait and selling that too.

Find something that you can think of that people will use, Try making some decorative vases, placing silk flowers in them and selling them. Go into some small gift shops and see if they sell on consignment and see if they will carry what you make. Take in several items to show.

Try making the Christmas tree's out of wire hangers and colored Christmas garland. I dressed mine up with plug in lights. Bought small gift box garland, cut off the string then glued on the boxes to the tree. I bought mini ornaments and glued them on other ones. Go into the bank and see if they would be interested in buying some for thier teller's windows. go from office to office and see if they are interested in them, or call them and find out. You have Dr offices, Business offices, etc..

See if you can think of something that people need and can not buy anywhere and you can possibly make it. Ideas are endless. Make laminated cards with a cute saying on them. Glue a magnet on the back.

You can always go to a flea market and set up a stall to sell your items.

Sorry if I rattled on, but like I said before ideas are endless. The one thing to keep in mind is do not fear you will fail or you will not succeed. Tell yourself you can do anything and you can. You first have to belive in yourself.
