What are some things you do for community service?

I need some examples, I need at least 10 hours this weekend..hahaha

Well whenever I start doing my hours, I just waited for an event to come up and volunteer my time for that. Or just go randomly to any store and ask if they want free work! lol

Go to google and type in your city name and then volunteer. Most cities will have a volunteer organization that lists all the volunteer work in your area. This is how I've found some of the best volunteer positions!

If you need so many hours in one weekend, you probably need to find an event to volunteer at. Lots of events are starting to pick up right now. It's Engineers Without Borders month, so find your EWB branch and see if they have an event on this weekend (you don't have to be an engineer!). You might have a town calendar so look at that as well.

If this is for school or such, most will expect a sign off from a private citizen.  If you know an elder or disabled person in your neighborhod, you can approach them on doing errands and chores for them (wash windows, organize cabinets, wash the dog, buy some groceries, make a meal, wash the car....)  Other opportunities are harder to find las minute so this is a more spontaneous way to finish them this weekend.
