How long before these things turn into positive things? Do they go away? Is running easy to progress at if you keep at it? Is it noticeable that youve become better (More Fit) after a certain amount of running? What are some typical things to experience when first starting out running in general? ie. Quick Fatigue.. etc.

  1. shortness of breath after quick bursts of speed..jock itch..unfortunately (thats the worst, cause then its harder to run if possible at all..gotta use baby powder or something of the sort as a preventative before running) joint/muscle pain..but its stretching so its all positive..it means you worked them out well..its like the old idiom, "no pain no gain"

  2. If you are running correctly, the only pain should be good pain.  If you are sore anywhere or bruised anything, you need to adjust your training or shoes or surface you run on.  Your fitness level will naturally increase the more you run, but to be faster takes interval and wight training.  Always stretch properly and run properly and you should do well.

  3. You will be sore for sure, but after 2-3 weeks if you run 5 times a week, you will start to see improvment. You wont want to run either, but if you stick with it you will get in shape fast for sure. You have to work through the first month or so and then it gets really good and you really get into it.

  4. good question and these answers are true and hilarious.

you reach the point after 2 or 3 weeks where you REALLY do NOT want to go run. do it. you won't feel and improvement. You DO begin to notice that you are no longer halucinating food and drink. That you can think a bit clearer. You've stopped hearing your breath sounding like the 4th horseman (death). You might even want to wave to another runner.

then one day after running the same course for 6 weeks you'll blink and the workout will somehow be halfway done and that's when you'll know that yes you are better - even if not faster certainly better

  5. You realize that its much more fun sitting on the couch gaining weight than it is running. ;).....I would say it depends on how used to running you already are and if you are running outside or at a gym.  If you are out running in 100 degree weather then it doesnt take long for it to start sucking.  With the amount of time for you to get fit depends on how long you are running.  If you do it everyday for an hour it shouldnt take long at all to see results just as long as you eat a little healthier as well.
