I am planning on ordering can koozies with a little saying and our name and wedding date. My colors are black, silver, ivory and light pink. Any suggestions on the idea and which colors I should use?

Thanks : )

  1. it can be used for any canned beverage.

they are not the most classy item you can come up with.  there are other p[ractival items you can get that are functional and can be cheaper too.

  2. As the banjos play...bada ding dung ding dung ding dung ding.....Aiming for a white trash theme?  Sorry, I have to be honest..... I don't like it at all... Come on, you can do better than that.  Maybe to give out at a back yard BBQ rehearsal dinner but not the wedding!

  3. Those are fun. We always use those at BBQs and beach parties. I think its a great unique idea. Maybe get black ones with silver writing...and accent it with a pink bow or tag. I just cant see men walking around holding a pink one.

  4. I like that idea!!!! Remember this is YOUR day!! If your guest don't want them they wont take them!! I attended a wedding and I knew that I would never use the gift so I allowed some one else to take it.

  5. I have to be very honest, I think that using a can "koozie" as a wedding favour may end up looking tacky and tastless. Are you and your groom to be big drinkers? I would maybe re-assess that. It sounds a little southern trashy (sorry no offence meant just being honest)

  6. I have a few of these from recent weddings. We actually use them a lot at barbecues and such. I'd say do black with silver, ivory, and pink writing on them!

  7. If your wedding is formal, can koozies really don't work. They'd be great for a bbq or outdoor thing. How about a flowerpot with a little note about our growing love or something sweet.

  8. What type of wedding & reception are you having? If you are having a casual reception (like a big BBQ) then that would be perfectly fine. If you are having a formal wedding in a nice hall, then I'd suggest you try to think of something else. If you really like the idea of the koozies, what about useing those as favors for your shower? Or, give them to your bridal party at your rehersal dinner?

  9. How many weddings have you been to?  And of those, how many "useful" favors have you received and continued to use?

I've been to MANY a wedding, and the favors always end up in the circular file.  Your day, when it boils down to it, is just a day to party for everybody else.  A great party, sure.  But it's just not that important to anybody else.  (By that, I mean it's not as important to them as it is to you.)

I am not a fan of the koozie.  If you are looking for a favor that people can re-use that is appropriate for a formal wedding, how about a wedding CD?

When you get right down to it, the most appreciated favors are the edible ones.  Candy, chocolate, nuts, mints, whatever.

We had individual wine bottles for our wedding favors.  I would not even venture a guess to what this costs.  (We gave our own wine from my family's vineyard.)  But I know this is something that is offered as well.  Google "wedding wine favors"

  10. I think that its a good idea if your having a not so formal wedding.  Maybe you should do a mix of colors maybe pink for the girls and black for the guys...i think its a cool idea

  11. As you requested, I am giving suggestions on the idea: Instead of giving guests something they will feel obligated to keep, yes, giving them something small that won't last would be appreciated.

As for the cozies themselves, are you thinking of the neoprene ones? Standard is a bold colour, if you want in that limited palette then use the black.

  12. Sorry to say, I don't use those kinds of things. And I wouldn't really use one from a wedding, anymore than I'd use one from a trade show or convention.

I don't need a "useful" gift. My favorite wedding favors have been food (cookies, truffles, candy, tea).

But if it's something you really want, I'd go with black with white or silver writing.
