In my soccer class at school I have to run 1-mile on Tuesday. I haven't exercised over the summer. The mile I have to run is 4 laps around a track field. Any tips and suggestions for how I can prepare on the weekend?

  1. Don't sweat it, I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat. Start today and go out and do a 10 minute "run" (I put his in parenthesis because you can just take it as slow as you need and walk --but only walk for a few minutes). I'm assuming you have 4 days at least? That is plenty of time. Just start slow but steady and  try to decrease your time each day (after the first day, calculate how far you are going). Stretch too!! Do a combo of walk and run, walk and run. Try it out, a mile is not as tought as it may seem, you can do it!!  :D

  2. dont start off too fast or youll tire out by the end, just make sure to have a steady pace

  3. Dive 3/4 of a mile, hide the car.   Put on a good show for a 1/4 mile.

  4. start running............

...stop when you reach 1 mile

  5. Pace yourself

  6. aww d**n im in the same boat with u =/ i havent did anythin all summer. but i suggest start running now, go outside and just run. then when tuesday comes it wont be so bad. =D also time yourself!
