  1. U will need cash, ur swimsuit, lots of sunscreen, a mode of transportation and plz don't try to speak patois I find it offendind cuz u ppl sound like idiots .When u come here someone will like say no man say gwey and then u will learn how to say it.Dont try it on ur own

  2. Beaches is a fabulous resort , everything you want or need is there for you . Casual is the dress code & you should definitely take a catamaran cruise to see the cliff divers . Shopping in Negril is great , it's a safe town & the resort will offer a shopping trip by bus . If you are inclined to sample the " high life " in Jamaica , talk to the driver of your shuttle bus from Sangster Airport to your resort , there will be a restroom & beer stop halfway to Negril where the driver will be happy to take care of your needs ( tell him you want the green sticky bud ! )

  3. Don't leave your resort unless you're on a resort-sponsored tour.

  4. You'll have a wonderful time I'm sure.  Negril is a lovely place.  Try to go to Rick's cafe to watch crazy people jump off the cliffs and then the most beautiful sunset.  As for packing, pack everything you want then, remove half.  Be sure to leave the sunscreen and bug spray in.  Bathing suit and cover up is going to be your usual garb.  A cute dress or two for dinner with sandals.  Shorts and a shirt if you should want to leave the resort to sight see.  How much cash you should bring depends on your souvenir list.  Other than that, put your wallet in the safe and forget about it until you leave.

Have you been to tripadvisor.com yet?  You'll hear stories from guests that have been there recently.  It'll give you a good idea of what to expect when you get there.

Please bring your best manners with you.  There is nothing uglier than a guest ordering the staff around.  A kind please and thank you will get you far.  You'll have the most wonderful vacation ever!

  5. Okay first off dont listen to the people who are saying negative stuff about Jamaica. I can guarantee they have never been to Jamaica they are probably just taking hear says from other loosers. Anyway you will have fun in Negril, just like anywhere else there are con artist and pickpockets and thieves in Jamaica. You can find these type of people anywhere. All you have to do is just be careful and just dont advertise to everyone that you are a tourist and that you have money if you do. Negril is party town so get out and have a great time but dont drink to much. You should definately go swiming with the dolphins at dolphins cove, you should check the 7 mile beach out too. Bring as much cash as you can afford cause you will see stuff that you will want to purchase. The exchange rate right now is about 1US dollar-70JA dollars. Pack a lot of shorts and skirts because the weather is warm there and bathing suits just pack whatever you would wear in summer time. Also be sure to pack party clothing, lol. Have fun on you trip and let your hair down and have some fun.

  6. jamaica is soo much fun. dont go on any tours unless ur hotel sponsers it. i recommend:

    Ricks Cafe

    Seven mile beach

    dunns river

Margaritaville (jimmy buffet) the one in Negril

snorkel cruise through ur hotel that takes u out to the seven mile reef for snorkling, swimming in pirate caves, and Ricks cafe.

u should brings lots of bug repellent there r major sand leas that are tiny but can do some damage.

    shorts and short sleeves

    bathing suits and snorkling gear

u should plan on spending about 1150 and when u get to the airport i do not recommend exchanging ur money for jamaican money

jamaicans drive crazy beware and the car ride from montego bay to negril is pretty long after sitting on a plane all day
