What are some tips for becoming a good dancer?

I'm in school and thinking about switching to dance as my major. I love Swing, both Lindy and West Coast, even though I just started out. I'm pretty much new to dance. Any suggestions?

well you have to want it to have it so just believe that you can do it and you will suceed

If you are going to switch your major to dance, make sure that you will fervently pursue a career in dance. Otherwise, there's no real reason to make it your major. Especially because you can probably add on the non-major dance classes to your schedule. Or you could see if there's a dance school in the area that teaches the dance styles you want to learn. Now if you ARE interested in being a "professional" then by all means, show your love for dance and make it your major (or depending on the curriculum, do a double major). But considering that you're new to dance, continue to take some beginner's classes, because majors aren't typically people who are new to dance.
