-  Use bolds, italics

-  Create attention grabbing headlines and sub-paragraph headers

-  Have some order to your sales letter

-  Have specific call to action

-  Make it interesting

-  Depending on what you are trying to sell, usually use the voice like you are telling someone a story or generally just speaking with them.  Don't be afraid to use slang, etc.
