What are some tips to uping my knowledge about the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG?

So I've been surfing the net lately and researching Yu-Gi-Oh cards, I've got a problem though, (and it's not just my short-term memory), everyone I've seen who made posts on a few websites seem to know so much about Yu-Gi-Oh, me, I know hardly any monsters, much less what their effects or ATK/DEF are. Can anyone give me some tips on how I can learn more about the Yu-Gi-Oh card game that can also help me get better with my dueling.

the shows r wrong they dont playn right i play in tourtments and show is way diff and the real game is better

TCGPLAYER.COM is a good site to learn about decks, and has nice community to start learning.

As for knowledge I suggest playing at the nearest hobby league, and you will learn as you play. Trust me, just ask what the cards do, and watch others play you will pick it up, really quickly. Try remembering what some of the cards. Good players only know what cards prolly because they see them sooo many times, they just KNOW what they are its got nothing to do with memory.

Oh and NEVER EVER think that the tv show and the REAL LIFE game have anything in common. Reality and tv should not be mix, unless you want to look like a idiot. :D

just get yourself a deck and try to as much as you  can rember whats on the card and do it every day than find an oppeont who is weeker than you that could help to win agasinest him or her or find someone stronger than you to help you either one could work turst me ive done both before
