What are some tips you can suggest on pourong liquid from a glass to a beaker when performing an experiment?

And what does holsing a glass rod at the rim of the beaker have to do with guiding the water? I need it as soon as possible because the due is tomorrow. Thanks.

Be carefull and always put plastic on your hands.

The liquid will flow along the glass rod as you pour it (slowly). If you pour the liquid quickly the glass rod will do nothing to direct the liquid.
