I have a physics teacher who supposedly can get on really long rants about physics topics like planes and bullet proof vests.

Do you have any other good discussion suggestions?

  1. talking about great physicist, talking about their life and behavior and thier commitment towards their work

  2. Astronomy is more than anything a study of physics.  Within astronomy there are ways of looking for energy in space (radio telescopes vs. optical, neutrinos).

I've heard Denmark has much more than its fair share of pysicists--Bohr is a hero there.  So, are there steps in science teaching we're missing?
