Try to give me some specific activities/customs that are unique to Panama. Also these activities/customs must be traditional (not for tourists). Overall, just state some traditional activities/customs that are unique to Panama. If you can't tell me any that are unique, it's ok. Please explain the activities/customs you post.

  1. There's three that I know if off the top of my head:

-traditional blue skin dye from the Cuna natives. It's made from a fruit, lasts a while, and is totally non-toxic. People apply it in detail to hands, feet, face, etc... but some also go all out and cover entire limbs with it.

    - beaded arm/leg wraps. Tiny "seed beads" are string together, and then wrapped around an ankle or wrist, to form an intricate pattern. Very, very cool.

-sleeping in Hammocks at night. If you get the chance to visit a village, many have sleeping huts filled with hammocks. Some great sleep!

    Hope that helped!

  3. because panama is so skinny in width....and it is near south america and north america...the bird population is very varried.

bird watching for locals and tourists alike is big.

women make a traditional and intricate dress called (i think) a pollera.

work activities center around a canal and a free trade zone.  sure there are others in the world....but these are HUGE here and generate so much of the revenue for the country
