i just cant sleep what r some amazing tricks besides meds

  1. deep relaxing breathes -- think of your entire day-- dtart with when you woke up, step by step (everything), until you went to bed -- stay focused & BREATHE -- you won't make it!!!


  2. First of all stay hydrated because if you are dehydrated you will be more prone to insomnia. Try this method. Drink 6-8 oz of water then wet your finger and dab it quickly in sea salt. Let the salt dissolve on your tongue it works like a charm and puts you in a hypnotic sleep.  Do not do it with out the water because if you consistantly do that with out the water you could get a bloody nose, and raise your blood pressure.  Make sure you only lightly coat the tip of your finger with the sea salt.

  3. See below for a long list of things to try.  The big things are: making sure your room is comfortable, not too hot or too cold, don't eat a big meal just before bed-some say nothing for a couple hours before, use your bed only for sleep and s*x; don't read/play games/watch TV in bed.

    Minimize noise and light in your room and cover your alarm clocks so you can't see the time ticking away.  I will often daydream when I'm waiting to fall asleep-let my mind follow a gentle storyline in my head; it distracts me and helps me settle in to rest.  Some people find a bit of white noise from a fan is soothing; others like near-silence.

  4. melatonin from gnc. its only $3 cherry flavor and is like taking vitamin c.

  5. Well, other than the old drink warm milk count sheep thing. I find that being on here, gets me sleepy. Not trying to sound bad LOL. It's just being on here relaxes me. When you're relaxed you fall asleep easier.
