i need information for a project and i cant find any sources please try and type the answers instead of using links but links are still ok

  1. Do you mean everyday items? You can get a good idea from tudor inventories (wills).

    In terms of everyday there are the Hose (trousers) and doublet (Jacket), Purse.  A knife was carried, it wasn't so much as a weapon (although it was used as such), more like your knife and fork. A cloak and maybe a hat too. Shoes didn't come in "Left and Right" but could be worn on either foot. Books were generally reserved to the clergy or upper classes as they were expensive and literacy was limited (books were a status symbol- by having one you were showing that you had the money to afford one and the money to afford an education).


  2. A pomander was another very common Tudor item, at least for the upper classes. as a protection against infection in times of pestilence or merely as a useful article to modify bad smells. The globular cases which contained the pomanders were hung from a neck-chain or attached to the girdle, and were usually perforated and made of gold or silver. Sometimes they contained several partitions, in each of which was placed a different perfume. They were usually carried on a belt.

    Note: This item was in use before Tudor times as well.
